Harbour will host the Australian Prawn Farmers Associations 10th
Annual Conference. This year for the first time it will be held in
conjunction with the Australian Barramundi Farmers Association.
The prawn farming industry is this year set to produce more than
3700 tonnes of prawns worth more than AUD$70 million. The industry
currently employs more than 1000 people in regional coastal
Australia.
The conference will include a major trade exhibition with over 30
trade booths. There will be international and national speakers on
topical issues including environmental sustainability, production
techniques, health and quarantine, new technologies, food safety,
investment and R&D.
The conference will be of interest to investors, bankers, allied
industry sectors, existing farmers, food industry professionals,
researchers and government agencies.
