In recognition of the
growing importance of export markets to Australian
agricultural industries, and to support the
Commonwealth's Young People in Rural Industries
Program - an Export Market Development
Training course designed to increase awareness
among young people of the importance of exporting to
rural and regional Australia is being held by the
Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry
Australia (AFFA).
The Export Market
Development Training course, part of AFFA's Young
People in Rural Industries Program, is a unique
opportunity for 30 young people who wish to make a
difference to the future sustainability,
competitiveness and profitability of their businesses
and industries though export. The objective of the
course is to build awareness of the value of
Australian agribusiness exports and provide
participants with the knowledge, skills and networks
to move into exporting effectively.
