GIPPSLANDERS SEEK AQUACULTURE SKILLS INFORMATION

The Gippsland Aquaculture Industry Network (GAIN) organized two one day workshops  in Traralgon for Gippsland people to investigate an aquaculture venture and gain skills to produce an aquaculture business plan.

The workshops were run by renowned aquaculturalist Dos Sullivan from South Australia and Phillip Island aquaculture expert and GAIN member, Brett Stephens.

With 22 registered participants attending the two sessions Gippslanders showed their keen interest in this new industry.

Dos Sullivan made the statement that he was very impressed with the knowledge and interest shown by the participants.

GAIN proposes to run more of thgese workshops in Gippsland which are presented nationally by the National Aquaculture Training Institute (NATI) and approved by FarmBis.
